5 tips to make your Instagram Reels stand out
You probably recognize the problem as a business that you want to increase the engagement of your Instagram page. You know you can increase it by posting Reels, but you just don’t know how to go about it. What are the tricks? Why do other companies get so many likes? And how do I get more followers? In this blog, I will give you 5 tips on how your Instagram Reels are guaranteed to reach a higher level!
1. First things first… the audio
Exactly, first things first… the audio is a pretty big part of making a Reel. So always add music to your Reel. After all, it is the music-video combination that makes Reels so hot.
The right music choice can set the mood, evoke emotions, and enhance the overall impact of your Reel. It can make your content more engaging, relatable, and memorable. Whether you're showcasing your creativity, sharing a special moment, or delivering a message, the music you choose can be the driving force behind the viewer's emotional connection.
2. Use music from Instagram's music library
If audio is so important to a Reel, what audio should you use? Well, always use audio from Instagrams own music library. If you don’t do that you’re video’s might be deleted because of copyright issues. The only thing is, if you’re using a business account on Instagram, you probably don’t have access to all the available music options. To address this concern, there are two solutions:
-
Utilize original music uploaded by other users who have shared the specific song you wish to use. Instagram's music library includes a wide range of user-generated content, which can be a valuable resource for finding popular tracks or unique tunes that suit your Reel.
-
Alternatively, you can modify your account settings to overcome these restrictions. By switching your account category to 'entrepreneur,' you can gain access to the full spectrum of music available in Instagram's library. To do this, navigate to your Instagram profile, click on 'Edit Profile,' select 'Category,' and search for 'Entrepreneur.' Once you've made this change, you'll be able to freely use any music within the library.
3. The first second is the most important one
Captivate your audience right from the start by ensuring that the initial few seconds of your Reel are attention-grabbing. These opening moments are paramount in influencing the viewer's decision to either keep watching or swiftly swipe past your content. To make those crucial first seconds count, consider using eye-catching visuals, intriguing shots, or a compelling hook that piques curiosity.
4. Simplicity is key
Embrace simplicity when crafting your Reel. Avoid the temptation to over-edit or spend excessive amounts of time on the editing process. Remember that less can often be more when it comes to Reels. If you're incorporating text, graphics, or special effects into your content, it's essential to keep them clean and straightforward.
Overly complex edits can sometimes detract from the core message or the viewer's ability to engage with your content.
5. Maintain a consistent posting schedule
Maintain a consistent posting schedule by sharing content at regular intervals throughout the day. This strategy helps keep your Instagram presence active and engaging. The more frequently you post, the more Instagram's algorithm will recognize your account's dedication to producing original content.
Posting regularly not only keeps your audience engaged but also enhances your visibility on the platform. Instagram tends to favor accounts that consistently share fresh and unique content. As a result, your posts are more likely to appear in the feeds of your followers and potentially reach a broader audience.
Well, that were my 5 tips for improving your Reel skills. If you’re implementing these skills effectively, they will certainly lead to increased engagement and success on Instagram. Consistency, attention-grabbing openings, simplicity in editing, proper music usage, and a strategic posting schedule all contribute to creating compelling and engaging Reels. By following these guidelines, you're well on your way to boosting your presence and engagement on the platform. Good luck with your Reel endeavors!
